Handmade Lokta Paper Journal
Lokta paper is s traditional style of paper used in Nepal for centuries. Made from Daphne bush, the production of this paper does not destroy trees and no chemicals are used to make them. Daphne shrubs are grown in large farms and the bush regrows to maturity after 3-5 years of harvest. The popularity of Lokta papers has grown over the years as it is one of the few papermaking industries that does not aid in deforestation.
